Chef Chad, a seasoned culinary expert and dedicated restaurateur, is the proud new owner of Bird and Rye. A true "through and through" restaurant industry professional, Chad’s journey to ownership has been marked by dedication, passion, and a relentless pursuit of culinary excellence.

Chad's culinary journey began in high school, where his interest in food and cooking first took root. Chad launched his career with an exciting opportunity at Elements in December 2006. As a chef at Elements, Chad honed his craft, gaining invaluable experience and developing a distinct style that would set him apart in the industry.

Following his tenure at Elements, Chad continued to build his impressive resume with a notable stint at Châteaulin, where he further established his reputation as a talented and innovative chef. Despite his success working in established kitchens, Chad harbored a dream of owning his own restaurant, a vision that would eventually come to fruition with Bird and Rye.

A single father to his son Oliver, Chad balances his demanding career with the responsibilities of parenthood, demonstrating remarkable resilience and commitment. His journey to owning Bird and Rye is a testament to his hard work, ambition, and unwavering dedication to his craft.

Chris, the new owner of Bird and Rye, brings with him over 35 years of rich and diverse experience in the restaurant industry. His career, which started in 1993, has spanned multiple continents and a wide array of culinary ventures, showcasing his adaptability, expertise, and entrepreneurial spirit.

From 2000 to 2005, Chris successfully ran his own establishment before deciding to expand his horizons internationally. His career took him to Scotland and Australia, allowing him to experience and influence the culinary scenes across three continents. This global perspective has enriched his culinary approach and business acumen, setting him apart as a versatile and innovative restaurateur.

Chris built Elements from the ground up, showcasing his ability to transform ideas into successful realities. His ventures didn't stop there; he went on to open Bear Creek Beers, further solidifying his reputation as a dynamic force in the industry. His success continued with the establishment of Beerworks in Medford, a testament to his vision and capability in creating thriving culinary enterprises from scratch.
